GOD WHO ARE YOU?
AND WHY WAS I BORN?

Acts 17:23-27

23 for as I was out walking I saw your many altars, and one of them had this inscription on it, ‘To the Unknown God.’ You have been worshiping him without knowing who he is, and now I wish to tell you about him.

24 “He made the world and everything in it, and since he is Lord of heaven and earth, he doesn’t live in man-made temples; 25 and human hands can’t minister to his needs, for he has no needs! He himself gives life and breath to everything, and satisfies every need there is.

26 He created all the people of the world from one man, Adam, and scattered the nations across the face of the earth. He decided beforehand which nation kings and rulers should rise and fall, and when. God decided where each person would be born and to which family. God also planned out the land, country and place each person would live and move around in. God also set boundaries and places they would not go during their lifetime before they were born.

27 “His purpose, in doing all of this, and predesigning out the details of everyone life’s journey, is that every person born on the earth, should have an opportunity during their lifetime to seek after God. These preplanned life opportunities to find God, should help them to perhaps feel and choose their way towards him and find him, though he is not far from any one of us.

Proverbs 8:27-29

“I was there when God established the heavens and formed the great springs in the depths of the oceans. I was there when he set the limits of the oceans, seas, rivers, and streams, and gave them his instructions not to spread beyond the boundaries that he has set for them. I was there when he made the blueprint for the earth and oceans.

Jeremiah 1:4-8

4 The Lord said to me, 5 “I knew you before you were formed within your mother’s womb; before you were born I sanctified you and appointed you as my spokesman to the world.” 6 “O Lord God,” I said, “I can’t do that! I’m far too young! I’m only a youth!” 7 “Don’t say that,” he replied, “for you will go wherever I send you and speak whatever I tell you to. 8 And don’t be afraid of the people, for I, the Lord, will be with you and see you through.”

Psalm 22:9

But you God are the one that formed and took me out of the womb: you gave me hope by lifting me up to and enabling me to suck milk from my mother's breasts, when I had no strength.

Psalm 139:1-18

O Lord, you have examined my heart/mind and know everything about me. 2 You know when I sit or stand. When far away you know my every thought. 3 You have already designed and mapped out the path of my life ahead of me to choose to walk in, and told me where to stop and rest. Every moment you know where I am. 4 You know what I am going to say before I even say it. 5 You both precede and follow me and place your hand of blessing on my head.

6 This is too glorious, too wonderful to believe! 7 I can never be lost to your Holy Spirit! I can never get away from my God! 8 If I go up to heaven, you are there; if I go down to the place of the dead, you are there. 9 If I ride the morning winds to the farthest oceans, 10 even there your hand will guide me, your strength will support me. 11 If I try to hide in the darkness, the night becomes light around me. 12 For even darkness cannot hide from God; to you the night shines as bright as day. Darkness and light are both alike to you.

13 Before I was born, you knew me, and loved me. Then you chose to make all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit them together in my mother’s womb. 14 Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! It is amazing to think about. Your workmanship is marvelous, and how well I know it. 15 You were there and watched over me, while I was being formed in the womb in darkness and utter seclusion! 16 You saw me before I was born and scheduled each day of my life. You did this  so that as I grew up, I would be able to find and know you, in order to develop a relationship with you. You did all of this even before I began to breathe. Every day of my life from before I was born to the end of my life was already recorded in your book!

17-18 How precious it is, Lord, to realize that you are thinking about me constantly! I can’t even count how many times a day your thoughts turn toward me. And when I wake up in the morning, you are still thinking of me!

Ephesians 2:10

For we are God’s own handiwork, His workmanship and creation. You have been recreated in Christ Jesus, born anew, that you can do the good works and deeds which God has predestined and planned before your birth for you. God has designed and prepared your life’s journey ahead of time before you were born. God planned out your life ahead of time, so that when you are born, you should choose to walk in his design.

God designed your life’s journey to test and challenge you to become more than what you are right now. The journey will mold you into his image, teach you about the wisdom of God and His laws and cause you to be satisfied and happy. By choosing to follow Gods design, you will be living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for you to live before you were born.

Psalms 71:6

By You oh God, I have been sustained from before my birth; You are the one, who took me out from my mother’s womb; My praise is continually of You.

Jeremiah 9:24

If people want to boast, they should boast about this: They should boast that they understand and know me. They should boast that they know and understand that I, the Lord, act out of lovingkindness, faithfulness, forgiveness, kindness, mercy, grace, fairness, and justice in the earth and that I desire people to do these things,” says the Lord.
